Staying Power

Also found in: Dictionary/thesaurus, Legal, Wikipedia 0.01 sec.
Staying power
The ability of an investor to stay in the market and not to sell out of a position when an investment has fallen in value.

Staying Power
Informal; the ability of an investor to refuse to give into fear after a loss and to remain in the market. Because every investor loses on some positions, it is necessary to have staying power in order to become (and to be considered) a "serious" investor.
