Stakeholder Management

Stakeholder Management

A form of management in which multiple constituencies are invited to contribute. For example, labor union representatives, shareholders, non-union employees, customers, and the general public may all be asked to provide input on a project. Stakeholder management is used to stop problems before they become significant, and, in case a project fails, to make it more difficult to assign blame to any one person or group.
