Sprinkler Leakage Legal Liability Insurance
An insurance policy that provides coverage in the event that a sprinkler system discharges at the wrong time. That is, if the sprinkler discharges for some reason other than a fire, the automatic sprinkler clause would protect the policyholder from paying for the resultant damage. It is usually an endorsement (or an addendum) to a Standard Fire Policy.

According to the very first issue of the Journal, published in June 1934, some of the primary types of insurance offered during the 1930s included the Following: * Sprinkler leakage insurance -- Applies only to buildings with automatic sprinkler systems and covers loss or damage resulting from accidental discharge of water or collapse of water tanks.
