Spot Exchange Rate
The exchange rate for a foreign exchange contract available immediately. Theoretically, the spot exchange rate is delivered as soon as the trade is conducted, but, in practice, one usually completes the contract two days later. The spot exchange rate contrasts with the future exchange rate.
