The two-character ISO 3166 country code for SAN MARINO.
SM
1. ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the Republic of San Marino. This is the code used in international transactions to and from Sammarinese bank accounts.

2. ISO 3166-2 geocode for San Marino. This is used as an international standard for shipping to San Marino. Each municipality has its own code with the prefix "SM." For example, the Faetano municipality is assigned the code ISO 3166-2:SM-04.
