Short-Term Investment Fund

Short-Term Investment Fund
A mutual fund or other fund that invests exclusively in short-term, low-risk securities such as Treasury bills, money markets, and so forth. A STIF aims to protect the funds invested in it while also providing a (low) return. STIFs have exceptionally low management fees.
