Series A-Preferred Stock
A preferred stock with rights or privileges distinguishing it from other preferred stock in the same company. That is, a company issues series A preferred stock when it wishes to have several different types of preferred stock. For example, series A preferred stock may have a different guaranteed dividend from series B and series C preferred stock.

VKSC) today announced that it has entered into definitive agreements with three of its current stockholders with respect to the private placement of $24 million of newly issued shares of Series A Preferred Stock of the Company.
The dividend on each of the series was paid to the record holders as of the close of business on September 27, 2007 in the case of the Series A Preferred Stock, and to the record holders as of the close of business on September 15, 2007 in the case of Series B and Series C Preferred Stock.
The Series A preferred stock will be redeemed at a price of $25.
