Series 55
A license giving the holder the right to trade in stocks. To obtain a Series 55, one must complete a multiple-choice exam measuring one's knowledge of practices on the New York Stock Exchange and over-the-counter markets, as well as knowledge of customer accounts, electronic trading, and trading regulations. The exam is administered by FINRA.
