A designation granted by the Appraisal Institute.An SRA may refer to himself or herself as a member of the Appraisal Institute, but may not use the designation MAI, which, confusingly, stands for Member, Appraisal Institute. An MAI must meet more rigorous education,testing,and experience requirements than an SRA.
