Senior Citizen

A person over a certain age, usually 55 or 65. Senior citizens are often entitled to discounts for certain entertainment services like restaurants and cinemas. Very often, a senior citizen collects a retirement annuity from the government and/or a private plan. See also: Pensioner, Medicare, Social Security.
