Seller's Call A commodity contract in which the parties agree that the seller will determine the price at some point in the future. The contract specifies by when the seller will set the price. The seller informs the buyer that the buyer either will pay a certain price or will purchase equivalent commodity futures on behalf of the seller. See also: Buyer's Call.
