Selected dealer agreement

The set of rules governing the selling group in an underwriting.

An agreement between the underwriters in a syndicate stating what rules the underwriters will follow as they place a new issue with investors. The selected dealer agreement is temporary because every syndicate is itself a temporary arrangement.
