Material written by an institution selling a product, which informs potential buyers of the product and its benefits.

Sales Literature

Brochures, pamphlets, and other documents that a company writes to encourage investment in its securities. The sales literature contains information designed to present the securities in the best, possible light. However, regulators often require sales literature to include disclaimers stating that investing is always a risky venture.
