1. ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the Russian Federation. This is the code used in international transactions to and from Russian bank accounts.

2. ISO 3166-2 geocode for Russia. This is used as an international standard for shipping to Russia. Many Russian federal subjects have their own codes with the prefix "RU." For example, the code for the City of Moscow is ISO 3166-2:RU:MOW.
