Risk-Return Tradeoff

    0.01 sec.
Risk-return tradeoff
The basic concept that higher expected returns accompany greater risk, and vice versa.

Risk-Return Tradeoff
A general rule stating that seeking a higher return requires accepting more risk. That is, one with a high-risk portfolio has a possibility of a high return. On the other hand, one with a low-risk portfolio does not need to worry about the possibility of losing one's investment in the way that one taking more risks does.
