Received for Shipment Bill of Lading

    0.01 sec.
Received for Shipment Bill of Lading
A document issued by a carrier that looks like a bill of lading as evidence of receipt of goods for shipment. This type of document is issued prior to the vessel loading and is therefore not an on board bill of lading.

Received for Shipment Bill of Lading
A bill of lading that is issued when goods are delivered at a ship or dock and not when they are loaded onto the ship. It serves as a receipt that the goods arrived at the port but not that they were actually loaded. When the goods are loaded, the received for shipment bill of lading is replaced by an on-board bill of lading.
