Rate Holder

1. The smallest possible advertisement in a publication. An advertiser may purchase a rate holder as part of an agreement to purchase a minimum number of advertisements over a certain number of issues.

2. The shortest possible advertisement in a broadcast. Advertisers purchase these rate holders for the same reason as above. They are approximately 10 seconds long.
