RWF Marketing Manager, Terry Koenig, believes that the sale of the company to the right organization could be an important next step in the evolution of the Bay Area enterprise.
RWF is a concessionaire of the National Park Service, offering exclusive ferry service to the infamous island of Alcatraz for more than one million visitors each year.
Other scheduled ferry services provided by RWF include weekday commuter service between Tiburon in Marin County and the San Francisco Financial District, midday and weekend service to Sausalito and Tiburon, as well as Golden Gate Bridge Cruises, and private charter cruises throughout the Bay.
One year after joining the company, Laurans was promoted to sales manager for RWF.
Laurans' responsibilities at RWF continued to increase during the next decade.
Laurans served as president and CEO for RWF until 1988 when he sold ownership of the company to Wetterau, Inc.
In addition to his employment with RWF, Laurans has also held a number of positions with investment and financial consulting firms in the Providence area.
