Pullback
The downward reversal of a prolonged upward price trend.

Pullback
In a price uptrend, a security's retreat from its previous high. A pullback may be a signal that the uptrend is ending and may be taken as a sign to sell. On the other hand, the pullback may be temporary and the uptrend could continue. In that case, it may be taken as a sign to buy. The meaning of a pullback depends on other technical indicators.
