Public housing authority bond

Bonds of local public housing agencies that are secured by the federal government and whose proceeds are used to provide low-rent housing.

A municipal bond issued by a local agency that is used to finance the construction or repair of low-income housing projects. Because the U.S. government wishes to reduce homelessness, these bonds are guaranteed by the federal government and their interest is exempt from federal taxation.

A bond that is issued by a local public housing agency and its proceeds used to construct or repair low-rent housing. Public housing authority bonds are backed by the federal government and pay federally tax-exempt interest.
