Proxy Materials
Documents a publicly-traded company must provide its shareholders at least annually. SEC Regulation 14A requires that proxy materials describe procedures on how the company functions, the number of outstanding shares, the composition and compensation of the board of directors, and other relevant information. As of January 2009, the SEC requires registered companies to make their proxy materials available to shareholders online.
