Projected maturity date

With CMOs, the date at the end of the estimated cash flow window where final payment is made.

The date on which a collateralized mortgage obligation (CMO) is expected to mature and coupons are expected to cease. The maturity date is projected because of the uncertainty of whether or not the mortgages underlying the CMO will be paid on time, paid early, or will go into default. See also: Prepayment Risk.
