Price of admission Used in the context of general equities. Cost to become a player in a stock in an inordinately aggressive market (i.e.,locking on one side, size or price concessions); trader becomes aggressive in order to break the domination of customer activity by another dealer. Price of Admission In equities, the cost to a trader of becoming involved in an unusually aggressive market. When a market becomes very aggressive, the prices of stocks go up, which in turn makes it more expensive for a trader to become involved in the market by buying stocks. As the market becomes more aggressive, some traders are unwilling to pay the price of admission. On the other hand, others do pay it and become aggressive traders themselves.
