Press Release

A statement given to the press regarding news in a company or other organization. A company may announce a merger, an expansion, a bankruptcy, or any other major event. Press releases are designed to put the announcement in the best possible light for the company or organization; therefore, it is important to check the accuracy of any information contained therein.
