Pivot
Price level established as being significant by market's failure to penetrate or as being significant when a sudden increase in volume accompanies the move through the price level.

Pivot
A price that a security fails to either break above or fall below, or a price that a security reaches when its trading volume increases. If a security breaks above (or falls below) a pivot, it is expected to continue to rise (or fall). See also: Support level, Resistance level.
