Philadelphia Stock Exchange
Founded in 1790, the oldest stock exchange in the United States. Equities in 2,000 companies and 1,700 options are traded on the PHLX floor. The exchange operates on an open outcry system, and is noted for its index options and currency options. It is currently owned by NASDAQ.
