OC3

The next level of telecommunications requirements for offices and distribution centers. Previously, users wanted local T1 access for broadband needs, with speeds greater than the more familiar digital subscriber line (DSL) service.Even T3, equivalent to 28 T1s, is now sometimes inadequate for intensive voice and data needs.Today, fiber-optic OC3 (optical carrier 3) is the minimum requirement for sophisticated shoppers, with speeds of up to 155 megabytes per second, or the equivalent of 84 T1s or three T3s.
