Nominal Quote
A quote for the price of a security in which the price is subject to change. Market makers occasionally make nominal quotes for valuation purposes only. It may also refer to a quote that is not an offer, but simply supplied for informational purposes.

nominal quote
The approximate price of a security although no firm bid or ask price is implied. Also called subject quote. Compare firm quote.
