New Zealand Stock Exchange Automated, screen-based national trading system based in Wellington. New Zealand Stock Exchange The only stock exchange in New Zealand. It traces its roots to a number of smaller exchanges in the 1870s that originally traded mainly gold. These exchanges combined in 1974 to form the New Zealand Stock Exchange.
