Nasiib al-Mithl

An Arabic term meaning "similar share." In Islamic law, a contract of partnership may indicate that the parties will receive nasiib al-mithl if for some reason a portion of the contract is declared invalid. This means that the parties will split profits according to the generally accepted custom of society.
