Nasdaq National Market Securities

    0.04 sec.
Nasdaq National Market Securities
Large (by market capitalization) securities that trade on the NASDAQ National Market. NASDAQ National Market securities must register with the SEC and meet certain requirements in order to trade on the NASDAQ National Market. Specifically, publicly-traded companies wishing to list on the NASDAQ National Market must have a certain amount in net tangible assets or operating income, at least 500,000 shares and 400 stockholders, and a minimum bid price of $5 per share. NASDAQ stocks that do not meet these requirements trade on the NASDAQ Small Cap Market. Most of the time, when one refers to "NASDAQ," one is referring to the National Market.
