A computerized, after-hours trading program on the New York Mercantile Exchange. One may use ACCESS between NYMEX's close and its open, Monday through Thursday. One may use NYMEX ACCESS anywhere in the world.

After September 11th, the exchange was the first in New York to reopen trading when it launched its web-based NYMEX ACCESS trading system on September 14th, and the first business to reopen west of Ground Zero, when it resumed floor trading on September, 17th.
Through a combination of open outcry floor trading and the NYMEX ACCESS and NYMEX ClearPort-trading electronic platforms, a wide range of products - including crude oil, petroleum products, natural gas, coal, electricity, gold, silver, copper, aluminum and platinum group metals markets - are available virtually 24 hours each day.
COMEX electronic volume on CME Globex averaged 121,034 contracts per day and represented a 1,396% increase over 8,090 contracts per day in September 2006 NYMEX ACCESS electronic volume.
