National Security Directives
Memoranda issued by the president of the United States indicating how he/she intends to interpret and implement the law as it relates to national security. National security directives are approved by the National Security Council before they take effect. While they are not legislative, they have the force of law.

Four years after granting the NSD a deemed university status, it is now hauling it up for " flouting norms".
Heino Nitsche, head of the Heavy Element Nuclear and Radiochemistry Group in Berkeley Lab's Nuclear Science Division (NSD) and a professor of chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley, and Ken Gregorich, a senior staff scientist in NSD, led the team that independently confirmed the production of the new element, which was first published by the Dubna Gas Filled Recoil Separator group.
A statement from NSD said the militant leader had handed over the would-be suicide bomber to Mohammad Osman -- a resident of Deh Khwaja area of Kandahar.
