Municipal Service Tax A flat wage tax imposed on all employees in a municipality. For example, an employee who works in the jurisdiction of a township may have to pay $40 per year, regardless of how much he/she earns in that township. Most employers in these municipalities deduct municipal service taxes from employees' paychecks. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
