Most Active Describing the list of stocks on an exchange with the highest trading volume, especially on a given trading day. A stock often becomes one of the most actively traded when relevant information on the company becomes available. Being one of the most actively traded stocks is not necessarily positive; that is, the information could be either good or bad, and investors could buy or sell accordingly. Technical analysts may use the high trading volume to determine how strong or sustainable a bullish or bearish trend is. See also: Most active list. How to thank TFD for its existence?
