Monetary Authority of Singapore The central bank of Singapore. It is responsible for issuing the Singapore dollar and setting exchange rates. It also regulates banking in Singapore. Unlike many central banks, which set key interest rates, the Monetary Authority of Singapore alters its exchange rates to control its monetary policy. It was established in 1971.
