Manager Universe (Benchmark) |
0.01 sec. |
|
Manager Universe (Benchmark) A comparison of one money manager's performance to a group of comparable peer money managers, or another term for the manager peer group. This is done periodically to maintain competitiveness and to judge a particular manager's performance. The practice has become controversial, as some believe that manager universes are too broadly defined to accurately demonstrate the skill of a particular manager and that they suffer from survivor bias because bad managers drop out or are fired.
