Luxembourg Franc
The former currency of Luxeumbourg. It was introduced in 1854 and remained in circulation until 2002, except for the period of German occupation during World War II. It was pegged to the Belgian franc at par for much of its history. It was replaced by the euro. See also: Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union.

The Luxembourg franc was created in 1848 but has been tied to its Belgian counterpart since 1921, each of them sharing the same value.
The Grand Duchy has been in a monetary union with Belgium since 1921 and the Luxembourg franc is pegged at the value of its Belgian counterpart so the there has been little national symbolism attached to the currency.
