Fatah
A secular, left-wing political party that forms the largest component of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. It is a nationalist party that advocates a Palestinian state in the whole region of Palestine, including the parts claimed by Israel, though some factions within Fatah have backed away from this latter platform. Unlike its main rival, Hamas, it is not regarded as a terrorist group. It was established in 1958.
