Graetz, a Yale University Law School professor, has recommended that every married couple that earns up to $100,000 a year be exempted from the income tax--a highly progressive notion--and that couples above that level pay a simplified income tax. If they did, they would not have been operating at level pay rates over the last decade. Southern California Edison (SCE) is reminding its customers to enroll in the utility's Level Pay Plan, which allows customers to spread high summer and/or winter bills over an entire year into equal monthly payments. |
