Kamikaze Pricing

The practice in which a bank offers loans and other financial products at exceptionally low interest rates and prices. Very often, kamikaze pricing involves selling at a loss, and, for that reason, it is not sustainable in the long term. However, it can increase market share, and give the bank the opportunity to raise its prices later. See also: Loss leader.
