The ISO 4217 currency code for the South Korean Won.

KRW
ISO 4217 code for the South Korean won. It became the currency of South Korea in 1962, replacing the hwan. It was pegged to the U.S. dollar at various rates until 1997, when it became a floating currency. See also: Asian financial crisis.
