Inverted Saucer

Also found in: Dictionary/thesaurus, Encyclopedia, Wikipedia 0.01 sec.
Dome
In technical analysis, a price trend indicated on a chart by a gradual rise to a high, followed by a gradual decline. Traders seek to sell at the top point of the dome. Generally speaking, the sell signal is reached when trading is characterized by low volume and flat prices. This is seen as a shift from bull market to a bear market, albeit a slow one. It is also called an inverted saucer. See also: Saucer.

inverted saucer
See dome.

The Micro exhibits a wide sound dispersion that is achieved by the application of a proprietary component called the "Omniguide," an inverted saucer that hovers an inch or so over the woofer, holds the tweeter, and contains another inverted saucer that hovers a fraction of an inch above the tweeter.
The inverted saucer lends itself to a lightweight structure with a clear span: a steel-ribbed dome resting on a ring truss.
