International Monetary Market (IMM) A division of the CME established in 1972 for trading financial futures. Related: Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) International Monetary Market A division of the Merc that trades currencies, interest-rate options, and interest rate futures. Established in its current form in 1972 when its predecessor merged with the Merc, it also trades in eurodollar and LIBOR-based securities.
