The new NYC Construction Codes are based on the model codes of the International Code Council (ICC), whose model codes form the basis of other construction codes in nearly every state in the United States. The final standard, which is being produced in conjunction with the International Code Council (ICC) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), will be published by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The International Code Council this week adopted new standards that limit the use of wired glass in all buildings, such as schools and gyms, where people could hurt themselves by running into it. |
