International Anticounterfeiting Coalition

Also called the IACC. A nonprofit organization in the United States that promotes intellectual property. The IACC conducts a number of activities toward this goal. It participates in global conferences to improve enforcement standards, trains police and other law enforcement officials, and lobbies the U.S. and foreign governments for favorable legislation. It was established in 1979 and is based in Washington, D.C.
