Tackoscope

An instrument that measures the stickiness of ink. Tackoscopes are used in printing to ensure that ink is able to be easily transferred without causing damage to the page. A tackoscope is also called an inkometer.

The Inkometer approximates the tack characteristics of an ink by measuring the restoring force that must be applied to the roller train (to which the ink has been applied) to put it back to its original position.
