In establishing Radio Danesh (Knowledge Radio), Equal Access created Afghanistan's largest rural communications infastructure with a satellite radio channel that broadcasts 7 1/2 hours of social development programming daily, currently reaching almost 7,000 rural communities and thousands more through re-broadcasts on partner FM radio stations that have been provided with satellite receivers. The International CES is the hub for wireless content, delivery, infastructure and hardware. Outgoing Chairman Hassan Gadel Hak (Egypt) said TNCs could provide a link between developed and developing countries and could help to build an infastructure in developing countries, in addition to training personnel. |
