On a point-and-figure chart, the physical width of a congestion area. This is used to estimate the future price of a stock after it leaves the congestion area.

horizontal count
A measure of the horizontal width of a congestion area on a point-and-figure chart. Technical analysts use the horizontal count to determine a price target for a stock once it breaks out of the congestion area.
