Hard Sell

Hard Sell
An advertisement that aggressively commands attention and strongly encourages the target to purchase the product. For example, a hard sell commercial may simply state repeatedly, "Buy Smith's soap." A hard sell contrasts with a soft sell, which is less demanding.

Business owners love it because they no longer have to try and get their employees to hard sell the business.
As an affiliate marketer if you try to hard sell the item to the consumer you will most likely increase their skepticism and decrease the likelihood of them making the purchase.
The beauty of this kind of marketing is that it can be done naturally, without a hard sell, when people have their guard down and are more open to hearing your message.
